While they are a lot of brands providing a hoard of options for your pet’s food needs, you as a cat parent might want to cook some food at home from time to time. It is important to understand your cat’s nutritional needs and appetite – these can both be ascertained by a certified vet whose help you can also use to ensure that your cat maintains a healthy lifestyle. Cats usually need food that is rich in Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Thiamin and Riboflavin.

So here are some extremely simple cat food recipes that you can make for your pet baby –
Salmon balls
What you need:
Boiled boneless Salmon – 1 cup
Fish oil – 1 tbsp
Egg – 1
Boiled Brocolli – 1 cup
How you make it:
- Add boiled boneless Salmon and Egg into a food processor and churn until is a coarse mixture
- Take them out, add boiled broccoli to the food processor and churn until it gets a coarse, grainy consistency – make sure both the Salmon and Brocolli is not process until smooth as it will make it hard to make them into balls
- Combine all the ingredients with 1 tablespoon of fish oil and shape them into small balls at the size that is convenient for your cat
Tuna Cake
What you need:
Drained Tuna – 1 cup
Egg white – 1
Flour – 3 tbsp
Shredded cheese
How you make it:
- Mix all the ingredients thoroughly
- Make the mixture into the size of little cupcakes and bake them for about 15 minutes at 175 degree Celcius
Tiny Omelette
What you need:
Eggs – 2
Shredded cheese – Half a cup
Milk powder – half a cup
Shredded vegetables – Broccoli and Pumpkin – Optional
How you make it:
- Break the eggs and beat them until they are smooth and even
- Add in milk powder and a little bit of water (only if you feel like the consistency needs a little thinning otherwise mix only eggs and milk powder)
- Pour it into a heated pan (non-stick one preferably) and wait till it cooks
You can pour them in two batches
- Flip the omelette over and add in the shredded cheese and vegetables (quantity can be decided by you based on the size of the omelette)
- Cover the pan and let it cook for 3-4 minutes
- Remove the omelette from heat and chop them into tiny pieces that will be convenient for your cat to consume
